STRAWBERRIES

There is difference between strawberries and strawberries. We offer only the best first-class strawberries for eating – they are too good for making jam!

We grow various varieties of strawberries in our No Bananas fields in Huelva, southern Spain, including Candonga, Ventana, Splendor, Primori, Camarosa, and more. The favourite strawberry among Nordic people is the Camarosa, which is known for its dark red colour and succulently sweet taste.

The Splendor strawberry is definitely a rising star, as it is similar to the Camarosa in appearance, colour and taste. The remaining varieties are either odd in shape or too light in colour for our Nordic taste, and they sometimes taste like they are unripe. However, people from Central Europe love these strawberries. As a result, we grow a wider selection on the No Bananas fields.

We will also be selling Greek and Belgian strawberries at the No Bananas outlets on a trial basis. Only the best top quality berries will be brought to Estonia – the most beautiful and ripest, the biggest and most delicious.

We will start selling Estonian strawberries as soon as they are available and keep selling them until stocks run out. No Bananas has an agreement with Estonia’s largest strawberry grower, who offers the tried-and-tested Sonata variety.

We also offer a variety of packaging – you can buy strawberries in 500g boxes and 2kg crates (including the crate). A popular alternative is 150-200g strawberry punnet, allowing you to eat your strawberries on the run.

CHERRIES

No Bananas morello cherries primarily come from the towns of Llerida, Zaragoza and Jerte in Central and Northern Spain. There are actually more varieties of morello cherries than you might expect. When new varieties are developed, they are often only assigned a number, before being given a name. However, regardless of whether they have a name or number, the same simple rule applies to morello cherries – we only import the best, ripest and sweetest cherries.

Generally, the morello cherry season starts at the beginning of May and ends in late July. In addition to Spain, we also import morello cherries from Greece and Turkey during the season.

PEAS

It is said that wormy peas are a sign of quality, since that means chemicals have not been used and the peas are tasty. We also believe this, but we strive to offer peas that are both worm and chemical free!

No Bananas pea fields are located in southern Italy, where, depending on the weather, the pea season starts during the first weeks of April. We also work with several successful pea growers in Estonia to provide a diverse selection.

BLUEBERRIES

We’ve left the wild blueberries (also known as bilberries) in the forest, because our cultivated blueberries are sweeter and do not stain. This makes it easier to pop them into your mouth without soiling your fingers. What’s more, they are as big as grapes!

You can enjoy the great taste of our blueberries from early April to late July. Blueberries are often found in forests in August. Recipes for and ideas for various blueberry desserts and cakes can be found in almost every cookbook.

RASPBERRIES

No Bananas raspberries start arriving from sunny Spain at the beginning of April and last until late July. Remaining true to our principles, we sell only the best and ripest berries over our raspberry counters – perfect for eating right away or taking home to eat later.
